Message from the Pastor

Greetings and welcome to St. Peter Lutheran Congregation!

St. Peter Lutheran Church serves the entire Michiana region and we welcome all people to celebrate, discover and share the love of Christ. We are a joy-filled community of Christians who seek to connect people to Jesus Christ.

We strive to connect people to Jesus through celebrative and CHRIST-CENTERED WORSHIP. We believe that worship is at the heart and center of the Christian life and the Christian Church. God’s people gather to be renewed through Word and Sacrament, to be refreshed for a life of service, and to give thanks and praise to God in Christ (Hebrews 10:23-25).

We strive to connect people to Jesus through regular STUDY OF GOD’S WORD. We believe that Christian learning is a lifelong endeavor. Throughout our lives, from cradle to grave, we are called to engage in meaningful growth in our knowledge and understanding of God’s Word of life.

We strive to connect people to Jesus through SERVICE beyond self. We are a purpose driven people who are called to serve one another in love, both in the community of faith and in the world (Galatians 5:13).

We strive to connect people to Jesus by welcoming you with the LONG ARMS OF JESUS’ REACH. The central visual point in the worship space at St. Peter is the large cross with elongated arms extending out to embrace all who gather. These long arms of Jesus visually reach out to welcome, embrace and forgive all people. We welcome you into the all-encompassing embrace of Jesus’ arms.

Whatever brought you here, it is truly good to receive you. If you have questions, are looking for a community of faith or just want to talk please don’t hesitate to contact me.

In Christ’s Embrace,
Pastor Bryan Borger
