Each year on International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, those who have lost a loved one to suicide gather at events all over the world to share stories, find comfort and hope in the knowledge they are not alone, and gain insight about healing after a loss.
This year, The Suicide Prevention Center invites Michiana Survivors to gather on Saturday, November 18th from 10am to Noon for conversation and comfort. We will watch a short film on hope after loss, hear from a local professional on coping with grief, and join in guided discussion groups to share stories and support one another. Our time together will be hosted at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 437 E Dragoon Trail, Mishawaka. But importantly, the event is not religiously-based and all persons and perspectives are welcome. Refreshments provided by St. Peter and Michiana Lifetree Conversation Cafe. |
